Conference Calling Using Your Mobile

The majority of conference call providers allow their participants to dial into the bridge at anytime and from anywhere. This is extremely handy as users can now use their cellular / mobile phone to dial into a conference call as opposed to using traditional land lines.

Third party conference call hosting solutions allow users to simply dial a number, sometimes even toll free, enter a pin code and then be placed into a group call with 1 other or many individuals. This is extremely handy, especially if you’re out of the office and want to liaise with your business contacts or staff.

Conference calls are being used more and more in business and a result, the costs tend to escalate which forces businesses to always be on the lookout for the best deal or conference calling solution - in a similar way to all of us with cell phones always try and source the best contract or tariff.

If you find a good provider, you will only have to pay a small monthly subscription which will include so many inclusive minutes, you will never need to pay on a minute per minute basis again.

Due to reviewing a vast amount of mobile phones on my blogs, I spend a lot of time online and on the telephone with the various help desk staff for all of the major telecommunications networks and mobile phone manufacturers. This used to be something I’d regret, especially several years ago, the level of support was absolutely terrible, an extremely shoddy operation. The only support you got was what was found in the manual, the staff on hand were not particularly well educated and simply reading from the same material I was. Thankfully, this is no longer the case.

Help Desk Outsourcing has given telecoms, mobile, cellular and technology companies in general a way to cut costs and offer a higher level of service at the same time. By outsourcing their help desk services to companies specifically trained to deal with customers and more importantly trained in supporting a specific product or service, companies are able to provide their end users with the support they desire, at a professional level and at a much lower cost.

It isn’t just large corporations that are now outsourcing their support operation, even small to medium sized business are making a saving by employing specific support staff thus freeing up their existing staff to take the business forward as opposed to supporting customers.

There are a large amount of phone card companies out there these days, all of which have numerous offers for calling various countries and various times for various durations from various destinations. This is a known fact. What is little known is how to get the best calling card rate from your phone card provider. For example, if you’re looking to call India from the United States on a regular basis, you will be best sourcing india calling cards. This way you will always get the cheapest rate when calling to or from India.

There are numerous phone cards available, the main type being the country specific cards which are extremely popular within the business community but also the prepaid calling cards and plans which enable their users to dial pretty much who they want, when they want and not only that, they don’t have to be in a specific location to do so.

Whichever option you choose, be it the prepaid calling plan or country specific calling cards, one thing is 100% guaranteed - you will save money and lots of it, especially when compared to your original mobile or telecom provider.

The next time you’re purchasing a phone card, try buying a country specific card and see how much you save compared with your regular phone card.

In the past, phone cards have always been geared towards landline / payphone users but not anymore. They have, undeservedly so, also gained a great deal of stigma, especially from the mobile and cellular community. But, that will no longer be an issue as I have recently come across a new service - cellular calling cards. As the name suggests, you can now use your cellular or mobile phone for international calling, via a third party company and enjoy the vast amount of features and benefits that come with that.

You can now use cellular calling cards to make calls to and from International countries from any country in the world and not only that, you don’t need to remember any obscure pin code and constantly re-charge or buy new cards when you run out of credit on an important call.

The automatic recharge features and long distance low rates make a calling card for your cellular phone the only feasible option for calling Internationally - unless you want to pay the networks extortionate costs.

Of course, you can still make huge savings by buying standard phone cards that work in the way they always have, but with even bigger savings that beore.

I am going to go a little off topic from iPhone with this post and discuss some basic ways of saving money on calls. In particular international calls. I am sure that my readers are aware of most of the ways to save money on calling but have you considered something as simple as calling cards? I know I personally overlooked them when I used to make a lot of calls to the United States from here in the UK.

There are a number of low rates calling cards out there to choose from, all of them seem to be tailored to the specific country you want to dial or from the specific country you’re dialing from, such as the US - but, there are a number of cards on the market that use plans which allow you to call anyone, anytime and from anywhere in the world (within reason).

One company I have been hearing a lot about is banana call calling cards. These guys offer rechargeable phone cards so you don’t need to keep purchasing new cards and remember new pin codes etc. They also offer pinless dialing so you don’t need to remember any pins whatsoever!

If you need to make a lot of international calls, I suggest you give them a try.
